ThetfordU3A – We have monthly social meetings, with speakers on a huge variety of subjects, at the Carnegie at 1.45 pm on the fourth Thursday of each month. Meetings are free for TU3A( Thetford U3A) members to attend, but they are also open to non-members for a donation of £2, so anyone can come along to find out more.
There are around 40 different interest groups, and for details of these, more information on TU3A and how to join us, please look on our website, where you will find all the information and contact details that you need. It is a great place to meet and make friends, enjoy your interests, or learn new ones.
In the UK, there are more than 1000 local U3As and Thetford U3A has around 400 members from communities in and around Thetford. Thetford U3A (TU3A) started in 2014 and is going from strength to strength.
It is a registered charity and is wholly dependent upon volunteers. Our monthly social meetings, with speakers are at the Carnegie, Cage Lane, Thetford IP24 2EA (opposite the library in Thetford, just down from the market square, with plenty of parking nearby – and it is free in Thetford!)
The University of the Third Age (U3A) movement is a worldwide organisation that provides, through local U3As, life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities for retired and semi-retired people. Members socialise together and learn together, not for qualifications, but for the sheer joy of discovery!
